Pastor Garrett Gouveia
Garrett comes to us from Hope United Methodist Church in Voorhees where he has been working with the youth. Garrett is also a chaplain at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He has his MDiv from Liberty University and is currently working on his Local Pastor’s License. We are his first church and he is very excited to begin his ministry here at Audubon United Methodist Church. He has a very caring heart and is anxious to help us continue to write Acts 29. He brings with him his wife Alexandra – Ally, daughter Dakota (3) and son Declan (1). He will preach for the first time on Sunday, October 10.
Administrative Assistant
Linda is a former preschool teacher and legal secretary, among other things. She has been a member of AUMC for over 30 years. She enjoys her work as the administrative assistant and tries her best to keep things running smoothly. She is the mother of four and grandmother to nine. When not at work, she enjoys reading and crocheting, but her favorite times are those spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling to Lancaster, Pa. and the shore a few times each year, often with her grandchildren.
Music Director
Mia has been with Audubon United Methodist Church since January, 2016. She came to the church with many years of choral and musical direction experience, most recently at St. Rose Of Lima Church in Haddon Heights, NJ, where she remains the Children’s Choir director. Mia also has vast experience in semi-professional and local musical theater, as performer, director, and musical director, and has performed as a soloist with several regional and local music ensembles and churches. She teaches private voice, clarinet, and piano lessons. Mia holds a B.Mus. in Music Education/Performance.
Organist
David began his tenure at Audubon United Methodist Church in September, 2011. He has also served as organist at churches in Haddon Twp. and Haddonfield, NJ. David began his musical career as a pianist, although he recalls his early inspiration listening to the pipe organ at his home church of Trinity Methodist in Merchantville, NJ. In addition to his work as an organist, David spent many years playing piano in pit orchestras for numerous local theatrical productions. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee for the Southwest Jersey chapter of the American Guild Of Organists.
Contemporary Service Worship Leader
Jesse was born in Audubon and baptized here at Audubon UMC. After graduating from Eastern University with a Bachelor's in Music, he worked hard to help implement the contemporary worship service here at Audubon. He has been the contemporary worship leader for 18 years. Outside of church, he has played in jazz combos, cover bands, theater pits, full choirs, a barbershop quartet, and even a heavy metal band.
Lay Leader
A couple of years ago, Bruce was asked to be our congregation’s Lay Leader. He participates in various committees on matters related to Missions, Church staffing and general operations.
He enjoys being a part of the Church leadership team that supports our Pastor and maintains our Church programs in an effort to spread the Word of God to our community and beyond.
Director of Christian Education
Anne has been a member of AUMC for over 35 years. She first stepped into this church when her date took her to a Christmas eve service. That date, now her husband Bill, and she have been married for 50 plus years
She enjoys being with her family, including five grandchildren, who keep her active and involved with current interests.
Anne is a retired elementary teacher of the Audubon School District. She now enjoys teaching the Bible to children through Sunday morning chats. Her other interests include singing in the church choir, cooking, and traveling.
Church Leaders
Co-Treasurer
William has attended the church for his whole life and has been a member for over twenty years. He has helped in a variety of ministries and is currently serving as Co-Treasurer. He enjoys learning about machines and disasters, with particular emphasis on disasters involving machines.
Carol Tait
Co-Treasurer & Worship Media Assistant
Carol is a retired Legal Assistant and has been a member of Audubon UMC over 30 years. She serves AUMC as the Lay Member to Annual Conference. In addition, she is our Co-Treasurer. She also assists with the Worship Media, including Facebook and website coordination. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and vacations with her husband Sam.
Marilyn Radley
Staff/Parish Relations Chair
Marilyn grew up in Audubon United Methodist Church and she has worn many hats through out the years.
For 28 years, she was the Director of Music overseeing worship music as well as adult and children's choirs, instrumental ensembles and handbell choir. She has been singing soprano as a professional and volunteer soloist through out the Delaware Valley and is currently singing with the Philly Pops Festival Chorus at the Kimmel Center.
Marilyn is serving as the Chairperson for Staff Parish Relations Committee and is the President of Victorious Women - UMW.
Lyn, as she is often called, has a degree in Music Education and vocal performance and is also certified in Early Childhood Education. She served as the Director/Head Teacher for a preschool program for many years. Marilyn also holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and worked as an HR manager for a PA health system before she retired.
Marilyn stays busy with her music and loves to sew and travel with her husband Scott. It's all about Faith, Family and Friends.
